Housing Authority of Clackamas County
Introduction
The Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC) has the distinction of being Oregon's first housing authority (1938) and having developed Oregon's first public housing project (1940). with an annual budget of approximately $10 million, HACC owns and manages 1,072 rental units and administers about 1,500 HUD Section 8 vouchers. Although it is a separate entity, HACC falls under the administrative structure of Clackamas County government. The three members of the Board of Commissioners of Clackamas County serve as HACC's Board of Commissioners.
Mission
To provide affordable, safe, decent and sanitary housing opportunities in a fiscally responsible manner to low-income people who choose to live in Clackamas County, enabling them to achieve the highest level of self-sufficiency and quality of life they desire.
